Membership -- How It Works
The My Maine Lobsters (Club) is a member-based Live Maine Lobster service company ensuring high quality, premium live Maine lobster for our individual residents. It is developed specifically for residents of Saddlebrook Ranch and Saddlebrook individuals to purchase high quality, premium Fresh and Live Lobsters and other Maine shellfish shipped overnight for pickup onsite.
Because lobsters require careful coordination and guaranteed handling, we operate as a member-based private club, not a retail store or subscription service. This allows us to buy directly from licensed Maine wholesalers, help lower overnight shipping expenses, with high quality standards and cancel shipments rather than deliver marginal products.
- Become a founding member and receive:
- a 10% discount on lobster orders
- priority access to special offers only offered to members
- special random bundling deals of MAINE lobsters, clams, mussels, oysters and scallops - Membership typically pays for itself after two orders and depending upon quantity.
- If you only order once at the minimum 4 lobsters, membership may not be worth it for you.
- Membership not required to order. But only members receive special offerings, discounts. and discretionary, random give aways.
- Not a subscription service. Order as frequently as you want to. You can order every month, once a year or a couple of times throughout the year. It is your choice.
What We Do --Whether one is a member, or just an individual, we aggregate individual orders. In order to make this work, we require a minimum order of two lobsters. And we need to reach 60 lobsters to place a wholesale order.
Once we receive enough individual orders, we place a wholesale order with our Maine distributors and wholesalers. This saves shipping expenses and drastically reduces the negative environmental footprint of individual packaging and overnight shipping containers.
We deliver the lobsters for individual pickup at the Saddlebrook Ranch Farmer's Market on a specified Friday, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. We inform each individual of the specific Friday once we have enough orders to reach the minimum of 60 lobsters.
